Proteins
Proteins are essential for growth and proper functioning of the body. They are made up of amino acids that are necessary for the body to make and maintain tissues, hormones, and enzymes. Sources of proteins include lean meats, fish, eggs, dairy, legumes, nuts, and seeds.

Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates are the body’s main source of energy. They are divided into two types: simple and complex carbohydrates. Simple carbohydrates are found in sugary foods such as candy, ice cream, and soda. Complex carbohydrates, on the other hand, are found in starchy foods such as bread, pasta, potatoes, and cereals.

Fats are a necessary part of the diet and are used by the body for energy and to protect organs such as the heart and liver. Fats are divided into two types: saturated and unsaturated. Saturated fats are found in animal products such as red meat, cheese, and butter. Unsaturated fats are found in plant-based foods such as avocados, nuts, and olives.
